About Us

Nomad Impact Ventures is a remote startup lab that starts, grows, and invests in impact-focused businesses and non-profits.

We are focused on three themes:
1. Helping humans improve their lives (Personal Development, Education, and Healthcare)
2. Helping to improve society and the world (Climate Change, Democracy, and Social Reform)
3. Building and investing in profit-focused businesses to fund our impact endeavors

We primarily build online content businesses but we opportunistically partner with or invest in entrepreneurs building other types of businesses.

We’re looking to work with the most driven and talented people in the world. If our mission appeals to you then please reach out.

Our Ventures

 1. #Masks4All

#Masks4All started and powered the movement for people and Governments to follow the overwhelming scientific evidence that shows we need to wear homemade masks in public to slow COVID-19.

Without any budget and a core team of ~4 people, #Masks4All was shared 250k+ times on social media and organically reached more than a billion people via media, governments, and social media (within 3 weeks of launching).

 2. #TestAndTrace

TestAndTrace is an all-volunteer organization that compiles data and resources to inform the public, health leaders, and government leaders on why testing and tracing is important and how they can implement it.

It has been featured by the U.S. CDC, Vox, NBC, TIME, and many others.

3. MustVote

MustVote helps people register to vote by mail (or to quickly contact their state legislators if their state doesn’t offer vote by mail).

4. Freedom Is Everything

Freedom is Everything is a content site about all things freedom: digital nomading, remote work, entrepreneurship, traveling the world, and trying to live a good life!

5. Need Change

Need Change informs people about how they can take action to help solve problems and improve the world. You’ll like this site if you care about improving humanity, democracy, climate change, the media, and living in a society that is unified against racism, sexism, and hate.

6. Five Fifths

Five Fifths is a content site about all things black business: lists, news, and interviews. We started Five Fifths because we believe every human deserves equal respect, equal opportunities, and equal treatment.

7. CamWoodsum.com

8. TwoMinuteBooks

Our Culture
HAVE AN UNDERDOG MENTALITY
We operate with an underdog mentality and value relentlessness, hard work and getting stuff done more than we value “geniuses”
EXTREME GROWTH MINDSET
We are obsessed with learning and are constantly looking for ways to improve ourselves and our businesses
ALWAYS PUT THE COMPANY FIRST
We always make decisions in the best interest of our companies: we are open to criticism and let the best ideas win, not our own
BE DIFFERENT
We don’t care about how you’re “supposed to do things,” we do things our way
OPERATE WITH INTEGRITY
We operate with honesty and integrity and we don’t take shortcuts
BE LEAN AND MOVE FAST
We believe that the companies that win in the long run are agile, fast and constantly running tests.
